JOHNSTON – Commercial property insurance giant FM Global will see one senior manager retire and six others take on new roles, effective Jan. 1, “as it promotes seasoned management … into new roles,” the company said last night.
Leading the roster is the establishment of a new post of vice chairman – reporting to Chairman and CEO Shivan S. Subramaniam – that will be filled by Ruud H. Bosman of Warwick, who joined FM Global in 1971 and has served as an executive vice president since 1991.
Jonathan W. Hall of Lincoln will be promoted to executive vice president. An FM Global employee since 1980, he now serves as senior vice president of the company’s underwriting and reinsurance division. Hall will oversee the company’s underwriting and reinsurance, engineering and research, marketing and training and claims divisions.
Thomas A. Lawson of East Providence also will become an executive vice president. Lawson, who joined the company in 1979, has been senior vice president of its engineering and research division since 2001. In his new position, he will oversee FM Global’s North and South America insurance operations.
Carol G. Barton of Cranston will become senior vice president of underwriting and reinsurance. An FM Global employee since 1973, Barton has served as senior vice president of the commercial lines division since 2001.
Brion E. Callori of North Arlington, N.J., will be promoted to senior vice president of engineering and research. Callori, who has worked at FM Global since 1979, currently is vice president and operations manager of its New York operations.
Michael C. Lebovitz of East Greenwich will become senior vice president and division manager of FM Global business unit Affiliated FM. Lebovitz, who joined the organization in 1985, has been vice president and manager of Affiliated FM since 2001.
Meanwhile, Brian J. Hurley of Barrington, executive vice president of FM Global operations in the Americas since 1989, will retire at year’s end after a 38-year career with the company.
