“Techie Waste, a subset of eWaste, are the electronic gadgets and products we love and rely upon, cell phones, PDA’s, printer cartridges, toner, MP3’s, pagers, hand held games, digital cameras and other small electronics. Because these gadgets are so small, most of them end up in the trash. Around 200 million cell phones and 300-500 million print cartridges end up in landfills every year,” stated Steve Smith, Executive Director of Reduce My Eco Footprint.
