EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Rhode Island Technology Council (RItech) is forming its first legislative action committee, which will meet on Tuesday, June 26.
The newly formed committee will work with lobbyists and reach out to state legislators and other organizations to develop a legislative agenda. RItech now has 220 members, according to Rick Kovar, the group’s executive director.

RItech also announced at a breakfast meeting last Wednesday (June 13) at the Providence Marriott that it planned to form a committee to specifically address computer security issues.
