Stephen A. Furtado has been named treasurer of the Rhode Island Parent Information Network (RIPIN) board of directors. Furtado is a professional sales representative with a background in consumer products. He is the past president of the Rhode Island State PTA. He will operate in an advisory role to help track and maintain the finances for RIPIN’s more than 18 statewide programs and services. •
