The state Department of Labor and Training has temporarily closed the Woonsocket netWORKri center for about three weeks for renovations. Customers are encouraged to utilize one of the other five netWORKri centers across the state.
The closest office for northern Rhode Islanders will be in Pawtucket, at 175 Main St. There are also offices in Providence, Warren, Wakefield, and West Warwick. Directions to each are available at www.netWORKri.org or by calling toll-free 1-888-616-JOBS. Offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The netWORKri centers offer an array of employment and training services, including job referral, employment and career counseling, peer support groups, aptitude testing, and information on the labor market. Customers can access personal computers, the Internet, telephone, fax and copy machine at no charge to help in their job search.
