IT training program added at 3 RI high schools

PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island Technology Council announced that it has chosen schools in Providence, Warwick and Woonsocket to expand its four-year high school information technology programs. The schools are the Times Squared Academy in Providence, the Warwick Area Career and Technical Center and Woonsocket Area Career and Tecnhnical Center. RITEC, the technology trade organization in Rhode Island, last fall introduced its first technology center in Newport. The curriculum for the academies offers high school freshmen and sophomores a working knowledge of a variety of technologies, and juniors and seniors more specific technology skills.
