Lyn Demy has joined accounting firm Rooney, Plotkin & Willey, LLP of Newport and Providence as staff accountant in the Newport office. According to a press release from Rooney, Plotkin & Willey, she was one of the six top scorers (out of 9,500 candidates) on the November 2000 Certified Internal Auditor examination and has been awarded the William S. Smith Certificate of Excellence Award for her performance. Demy received her master’s degree in accounting in June of 2000 from Salve Regina University. She resides in Middletown.
