Richard A. Lembo has been appointed executive director of the Center for Technology Commercialization (CTC-RI) and its R.I. Technology Transfer Center (RITTC). He will be responsible for CTC-RI’s efforts to assist government and private clients in technology acquisition, partnering, commercialization and strategic planning. Lembo was formerly employed as general manager-international for B.A. Ballou & Co., Inc., East Providence; director of international ventures for Gencorp, Inc., Akron, Ohio; and vice president-sales for Spirol International Corp., Danielson, Conn. He began his corporate career in 1971 at Fram Corporation in East Providence, where he served in several international business development management positions. He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point and studied for a master’s in business administration at the University of Rhode Island. He is a resident of Barrington.
