BRAINTREE – Aztec Technology Partners, which had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy a week earlier, closed its doors and fired all 535 of its employees, Bloomberg News reported. Aztec, which helped companies use the Internet, sought to use cash collateral to pay employees and keep operating, but its proposal was rejected by the Bankruptcy Court, Bloomberg reported. As a result, Aztec announced that it would go out of business.
