Convention Center report delayed

BOSTON – A PriceWaterhouseCooper evaluation of the Convention Center, now under construction in South Boston, that was to have been completed in September has been set back because it was based on information before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. The report commissioned by the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau was to have detailed the changes that have developed in the convention market since the $800-million convention and exhibition center was authorized almost five years ago. In addition to the shock from the terrorists’ attack, the economy has slumped as has the convention business. The Boston Globe speculated that a revised report could take months to complete.
