Criminal records online

PROVIDENCE — Online access to the judiciary’s adult criminal database will soon
be available to the public. RI Supreme Court Justice Frank J. Williams recently
unveiled SCT (TM) Court Connect, which provides Internet access to public
information. CourtConnect will replace the complicated and confusing computer
program on terminals available to the public in court clerks offices throughout
the state. Williams said his goal is to make the courts “more accessible and user-friendly.”
