WOONSOCKET, R.I. (BUSINESS WIRE) — CVS Corporation, a drugstore chain with stores in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Midwest regions of the U.S., said today that November same store sales increased 10.5 percent, while pharmacy same store sales rose 15.6 percent.
Total sales for the four-week period ended November 25 increased 14.5 percent to $1.617 billion, compared to $1.412 billion for the same period a year ago. Total pharmacy sales represented 64.6 percent of total company sales in November.

Year-to-date, same store sales for the forty-seven week period ended November 25 increased 11.1 percent from the same period a year ago, while pharmacy same store sales increased 17.4 percent. Total sales for the forty-seven week period increased 13.4 percent to $17.819 billion, compared to $15.710 billion in 1999.
