Daniel J. Briand has been named vice president of retail lending at Citizens-Union Savings Bank. Briand has more than 20 years of lending experience. He will be responsible for managing mortgage and consumer lending, as well as developing products and expanding lending within the market area. Previously, Briand served as vice president in the mortgage departments at Sovereign Bank, Compass Bank and BankBoston. •
