David McCauley has been promoted to assistant director, institutions and operations for the R.I. Department of Corrections. He most recently served for six years as a warden for DOC. In his new role, McCauley will oversee the operation of the state’s eight correctional facilities. In total, he has been with DOC for 29 years. •
