DEM’s new Web site

PROVIDENCE — In advance of Gov. Lincoln Almond’s e-government initiative, the
Department of Environmental Management has unveiled a revamped Web site, www.state.ri.us/dem,
which not only includes information about programs and the department, but allows
viewers to download applications for grants, fishing and hunting licenses, septic
system permits, and seasonal employment. Additionally, the site also has an interactive
mapping section where viewers can create customized maps with the most up-to date
information available.
