Dr. Arthur A. Bert has been appointed chief of anesthesia at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. He has been with Rhode Island Hospital since 1986 and also serves as a clinical professor of surgery (anesthesiology) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Bert holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Brown University and an M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. •
