Elaine Murphy has been named area director of sales for the new Hampton Inn & Suites in Providence. Her new responsibilities include overseeing the sales and marketing efforts for the hotel. Murphy has worked with First Bristol Corporation, serving as sales and marketing manager for the Hampton Inn in Raynham, Mass. She has a B.A. from Bentley College. •
