Final bids submitted for Red Sox

BOSTON – As the Red Sox move into the final phase of selecting a buyer of the Yawkey family trust’s majority share of the baseball team, at least six groups have submitted bids for the team, The Boston Globe and other sources reported. Neither the Red Sox nor the bidders would disclose details of the bids. The Associated Press quoted John Harrington, chief executive officer of the Red Sox, as saying it would take weeks to go through the bids and evaluate them before a decision could be made on a buyer.
