George Cobleigh has been named principal at Ernst & Young LLP of Providence. He is a member of the firm’s tax services practice, and has 15 years of experience providing federal, state and international tax planning for clients in the retail, distribution and manufacturing industries, as well as to venture capital firms. Cobleigh graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and earned his Master’s degree in taxation from Bryant College in 1991. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Rhode Island Society of CPAs (RISCPA). He is on the board of directors of Junior Achievement Rhode Island and the RISCPA tax committee. He resides in East Greenwich with his wife Lisa and their 3-year-old son Jacob.
