Fleet expands Internet banking platform

FleetBoston Financial is expanding its Internet capabilities for its corporate
customers by adding Automated Clearinghouse payment functionality to its Corporate
Internet Banking products. According to FleetBoston, the new ACH function will
allow corporate customers to conduct a variety of payment transactions online,
from direct deposit of payroll to federal and state tax payments, intrabank
transfers and other payment applications.
