F. Nelson (Todd) Blount has been named president at Blount Seafood Corp. of
Warren. He is the third generation of the family to lead Blount Seafood and
the fifth generation to be involved in the development of the shellfish industry.
He began his career with NYNEX (now Verizon), where he was a supervisor and
staff manager. Blount graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s
degree in managerial engineering. He received his master’s in business administration
from Boston University in 1994. He is a graduate of the National Fisheries Future
Leaders Program. He resides in Barrington with his wife and two sons.
