Garth Rees Cosgrove has been appointed chief of neurosurgery at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. Cosgrove is an internationally recognized neurosurgeon. His research includes epilepsy, brain tumors and functional neurosurgery. Cosgrove will lead and grow the department of neurosurgery to better serve the community and help raise the national profile of Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals. •
