PROVIDENCE – GTECH Corp. has gotten its ninth lottery contract extension of this year with the announcement last week that the Arizona Lottery had renewed its agreement with the gaming giant.
GTECH, a subsidiary of Italy-based Lottomatica SpA, and the Arizona lottery signed a three-year renewal for September 2011 through August 2014. The company projects it will generate $30 million to $40 million in revenue over three years.

The contract calls for GTECH to continue to operate and maintain the lottery’s online central system, terminals and communications network, as well as provide field service, marketing support and hotline services.
“We are honored and proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the Arizona Lottery,” said GTECH President and CEO Jaymin B. Patel. “For 25 years, we have worked with the lottery to help achieve its growth success and raise revenue for the good causes it serves throughout the state.”
GTECH and the Arizona Lottery have been partners since 1984, three years after the Arizona game began. GTECH currently provides the Arizona Lottery with products including its Enterprise Series system; 2,700 Altura terminals; ES MultiMedia digital advertising displays; and Ticket-Scan self-service ticket checkers.
GTECH also signed a deal with the Arizona Lottery earlier this year to create a new instant-ticket game there starting in January that will be worth an estimated $10 million in revenue to GTECH.
