CVS/pharmacy will be the exclusive sponsor of the Speaking of Kids parental education series for 2001. The Woonsocket-based company is contributing $30,000 in proceeds from the CVS/pharmacy Downtown 5K Road Race to the program, which consists of lectures presented by Hasbro Children’s Hospital and Bradley Hospital and attended by parents, teachers and child care professionals throughout the state. The series consists of eight to 12 presentations per year covering juvenile mental and physical health topics such as anger management and asthma education.
