M. Stuart Towsey, Jr. has been named senior vice president at Amica Mutual Insurance Company’s claims executive department. He began working for the company in 1973 as an adjuster in the Atlanta regional office, and previously worked in Amica’s Raleigh office and Cincinnati regional office. He was promoted to vice president in 1994 and was named superintendent of Amica’s claims division last year. Towsey graduated from the University of Richmond with a bachelor’s degree in economics and earned an associate in claims professional designation from the Insurance Institute of America in Malvern, Pennsylvania. He resides in North Kingstown.
