James Joy has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer at Providence-based Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. He is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, controllership, budgets, treasury and other financial operations of BCBSRI. Joy also leads statistical, actuarial and underwriting and buildings/maintenance. He has a bachelor’s degree from Ramapo State College in Mahwah, N.J., and attended Rutgers University for graduate course work.
