Jerome R. Picca has been named general manager of Newport’s Blackstone Caterers. He previously worked as director of operations at Rita’s Enterprises where he was responsible for food & beverage operations, as well as new business development, client relations, and staff training. Picca has worked as executive chef of Sebastian’s Catering in Boston’s World Trade Center. He also was chef-owner of Conynhham-Francis Ltd., dba The Seasoned Chef, running six cafes and restaurants in Mass. Picca is a member of ICA and a past member of IACP. He and his wife live in Harvard, Mass.
