Jim Welch, managing principal at the Rockland, Mass. CPA firm Needel, Welch & Stone, has been elected chairman of the board of directors for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce for the 2002 term. Welch, of Hingham, has been an active member of the chamber since 1982. He is a graduate of Northeastern University and is a trustee and executive committee member for the South Shore Health & Educational Foundation.
