Marie Cox, formerly controller and assistant treasurer of NewportFed, has been named vice president. She joined the bank in 2002 from People’s Credit Union, where she was accounting manager. Before that, Cox was with Milton Hospital, in Milton, Mass., for 10 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Providence College and recently completed graduation requirements at the Massachusetts Bankers School for Financial Studies at Babson College.
