Mark Gervais has been named vice chairman of the board of directors for the Rhode Island Hospitality Association. Gervais was named general manager of the Hotel Viking in May 2006 and has led the hotel through an extensive renovation. Previously, he held executive positions at industry leaders like Starwood, Doubletree and Hyatt. He has a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts. •
