Seena Franklin has joined Children’s Friend and Service, an organization that promotes the well being and healthy development of Rhode Island’s most vulnerable children, as director of program quality and planning. She was formerly employed as assistant director of home visiting at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (Bureau of Family and Community Health) and program director for First Steps for Families and Children at Enable, Inc., also of Massachusetts. Franklin earned a master’s in social work from Rhode Island College, a master’s in education with a concentration in counseling from Boston University and a bachelor of arts from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) for Massachusetts and Rhode Island and a licensed marriage and family therapist and clinical mental health counselor in Massachusetts.
