Stephen Evangelista has been appointed president/CEO of the Arthritis Foundation for Southern New England, which encompasses Rhode Island and Connecticut, in Cranston. He has spent more than 30 years in the non-profit industry, most recently as chief executive officer of the National Kidney Foundation for Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont for the past seven years. Evangelista graduated from Roger Williams University and holds a master’s degree from Rhode Island College. He is a member of the Rhode Island Commodores, Leadership Rhode Island, the American Society of Association Executives, a trustee of the Rhode Island College Foundation and a member of the board of governors at Quidnessett Country Club. He resides in Warwick with his wife.
