Lawrence Kahn has joined the board of trustees of The Providence Center, a private, non-profit behavioral health care organization. A certified public accountant, he began his career in 1971 at the Boston office of Coopers and Lybrand. He was also employed at Peat Marwick, Mitchell and Co. of Providence before starting his own public accounting practice in 1975. Kahn earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island and his master’s in taxation from Bentley College. He has also been vice president of the board at the Wheeler School and as a member of the Rhode Island Small Business Advisory Council.
