Noreen Shawcross has been appointed to the board of directors for HousingWorks RI. She recently retired from the role of chief of housing and community development for the state of Rhode Island. For seven years, Shawcross had also served as executive director for the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless. She holds a B.A. in English from Newton College of the Sacred Heart (Boston College) and an MSW from Rhode Island College. •
