OOP! an award finalist

PROVIDENCE — OOP! a Providence based gift gallery has been selected as one of four promotion finalists in the national magazine, Gift & Decorative Accessories’ 50th annual Merchandising Achievement Awards competition. OOP! was named a finalist for excellence of its “Ride ‘Em High Holidays” Raffle to benefit AIDS Care Ocean State during the 2000 holiday shopping season. The promotion featured a western theme and a lively cowboy character, Doc Holiday, whose rallying cry “GiddyOOP!” spurred people on to support the raffle and join the in-store festivities. OOP! raised over $2,100 for AIDS Care Ocean State. OOP! will join the other finalists in New York City later this summer when the winners will be announced.
