Polaroid suspends dividend

CAMBRIDGE — Polaroid Corp. announced that it was suspending its dividend for
the first time in 30 years as it tries to restore its profitability. A company
spokesman said the company will focus on cash flow and liquidity as well as fulfilling
its pledge to pay down at least $100 million in debt. The Boston Globe reported
that Polaroid expected to lose between $30 million and $40 million in the first
quarter. This follows a reported 34 cents a share loss in the fourth quarter last
year.
