Richard Ferron has been named assistant vice president at FM Global in its business unit, FM Approvals. Ferron will oversee a team that tests and certifies building materials for property-damage reduction. Previously, he worked on nuclear power systems at Babcock & Wilcox and UNC Naval Products. He has a B.A. and an M.A. in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. •
