RISD relocation project completed

Diversified Project Management Inc., a Newton, Mass.-based construction-management and move-planning firm, announced yesterday that it has completed the relocation of a Rhode Island School of Design facility in Providence.

“We have just completed one of the largest relocation projects in Rhode Island,” said Bob Keeley, president of Diversified Project Management. The company relocated RISD’s division of graduate studies, undergraduate and continuing education design studios to 169 Weybosset St. in Providence.

The relocation involved an estimated 56,000 square feet of office, classroom, gallery and studio space.

“Included in the design of the new building is a gallery to showcase
graduate work as well as incubator space to assist graduate students in
learning the skills to enter into the business world and to develop business
acumen,” Keeley added.
