RITEC conducting IT survey

PROVIDENCE — The Rhode Island Technology Council (RITEC) is conducting a survey
of information technology companies and professions throughout Rhode Island, creating
what the organizations says is the first comprehensive index of IT resources in
Rhode Island. The survey, RITEC said, will identify the state’s information technology
competencies, develop greater awarness of the industry, profile information technology
professions, create a directory of information technology firms operating in Rhode
Island, track the use of venture capital and future needs for venture capital,
measure general access to education for information technology professionals,
and identify training needs for information technology professionals. The company
survey is being mailed to some 3,700 companies, RITEC said, and can also be found
on the RITEC Web site: www.ritec.org/companysurvey.html.
