Sara Walker Thomson has been hired as manager of communications and member relations for the Newport County Chamber of Commerce. Thomson had held several positions at the Chamber between 2003 and 2009. She most recently served as the chef/stew aboard a private sailing yacht in the Mediterranean. Thomson graduated from Rhode Island College with a B.A. in English literature and communications. •
