Sarah Carlson has been named director of rooms at the Castle Inn & Resort. She most recently worked at the four diamond-rated XV Beacon Hotel in Boston, where she started as assistant desk manager and rose to room divisions director. Carlson has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. She lives in Newport.
