Susan L. Austin has been appointed president of Women in Transition Inc. in Cranston. She oversees the board of directors and all programs relating to fund development, publicity, finance and programs. Austin serves as a member of the board of directors for the North Scituate Public Library and a mentor at the Women’s Prison at the Adult Correctional Institute. She and her family live in North Scituate.
