Thomas C. Delaney, general manager of the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Spa in Newport, has been named chairman of the Rhode Island Hospitality and Tourism Association’s Hotel General Manager Council. The council is a forum to focus, discuss and solve the concerns of hotel general managers in the areas of operations, tourism and best practices for the betterment of the hospitality and lodging industry. Delaney and his family live in Saunderstown.
