Thomas J. McDonough has been named vice president of human resources and labor relations at The Providence Journal. He will have overall responsibility for employee relations, including recruitment, hiring, labor relations, negotiations and department organization. He has served as departmental director, manager and administrator in the newspaper’s human resources department since 1995. •
