Arvin Glicksman, executive director of the Rhode Island Cancer Council,
has received the Distinguished Service Award from the American Cancer Society.
He is a professor of medical science emeritus at Brown University Medical School.
Glicksman developed and chaired the Quality Assurance Review Center for the
National Cancer Institute’s clinical trial program. He is being recognized for
his contributions and leadership in the fight against cancer.
