Cathy E. Boni has been named senior vice president of the Hospital Association of Rhode Island where she will be responsible for quality, performance measurement, workforce development, nursing and hospital emergency preparedness issues. She has more than 15 years of clinical nursing experience in the intensive care environment. Boni holds a certification as a certified professional in healthcare quality from the National Association for Healthcare Quality. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Rhode Island and her doctorate from the University of Massachusetts.
