Denise D. Tansey joined BankNewport as assistant vice president and security officer. She is responsible for the physical security of all of the bank’s facilities, the investigation of possible fraudulent activity, and the communication of fraud trends to employees and customers of the bank. She previously worked at Pawtucket Credit Union as security officer. Tansey is a member of the Rhode Island Fraud Association, the Association for Certified Fraud Examiners, the New England Disaster Recovery Information X-change, and is a member of the Greater Fall River Community Food Pantry, where she serves as treasurer. She received an associate’s degree from Bristol Community College in Fall River, Mass. Tansey and her husband live in Fall River.
