Dr. Joseph Sweeney

Dr. Joseph Sweeney has been honored with the Rhode Island Blood Bankers’ Society Outstanding Service Award. Sweeney is the medical director for blood bank and transfusion services at Roger Williams Medical Center; a professor of pathology at Brown University Medical School, where he is director of transfusion medicine and coagulation; and a member of the editorial board of the AABB’s monthly journal, Transfusion.
