Several state and local officials were present as Massachusetts Electric Company broke ground for a new service center in Somerset, Mass. The $3 million, 26,700 square-foot facility will serve more than 60,000 customers in Fall River, Somerset and surrounding communities. In the facility, 10,900 square-feet will be office area, with the remaining 15,800 square feet allocated for indoor parking for 14 bucket trucks, a stockroom and two workshops.
