Robert Klein, MD has been named director of the Asthma and Allergy Center at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. He will be charged with creating an asthma center in Rhode Island. He was formerly employed at the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler as professor and chairman of pediatrics and director of the Center for Asthma, Allergy and Lung Disease for eight years and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center/Dartmouth Medical School as chief of pediatrics and director of asthma and allergy. Klein has received an ongoing multi-center grant with colleagues from Rhode Island Hospital/Brown Medical School, the University of Texas at Tyler and the National Jewish Asthma Research Center.
